Welcome! :)
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! I hope everyone had a great summer! It is that time of the year again, and I am excited to be a part of Wing School this year. I can not wait to meet everyone and see all the talent Wing has to offer. I have some fun ideas in mind this year for projects, and I plan on connecting math with everyday jobs as much as possible. Please feel free to contact me through email or come in and visit anytime.
A little about Mrs.Haider
I grew up on a ranch in Amidon ND, I have two sisters and two brothers and of course two awesome parents who taught me everything I know. After High School I attended the University of Mary in Bismarck and graduated in May 2013 with a Math and Special Education degree. Before I took the Wing Math Teacher position, I worked as an activity aid at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck. I got married in July, and my husband and I live in Bismarck, with our two furry children (a chocolate lab, and an Australian shepherd). I love music! I grew up singing and playing guitar with my family, I also enjoy being outside, riding horse, and family time.
How to use this site
At the top of this page, you will see a tab bar labeled with each class that I teach along with a History tab. Feel free to explore and read through them. Each week I will update the class pages with a little summary of what we did in class and any fun activities that we did, I will also post homework assignments on each class page. In the History tab, I will post information off of my bulletin board "The Path to Math" this is a fun page where you can read about how historical people's intelligence has influenced math and gadgets today.
Explore the site and enjoy!
**Math is more than learning about numbers and variables, math is learning new ways to think, new ways to see things**
